What to Expect on Your First Visit
Digital X-Rays
Our skilled dental assistant Fatima will take care of your digital dental X-rays, as part of your dental examination process. These X-rays help us get a clear picture of your oral health by allowing us to see your teeth and the bone support around them. With this information, we can easily identify any issues such as tooth decay, infections, or bone loss.
Appointment with Our Hygienists
Now it’s time to meet one of our skilled hygienists. They’ll guide you through your dental cleaning, ensuring your smile gets the care it deserves. During your teeth cleaning, our dental hygienist will gently remove plaque and tartar from the surfaces of teeth and below the gum line. These visits also allow us to catch any issues early on. By getting treatment promptly, we can avoid expensive procedures in the future. While you’re with our hygienists, Dr. Lisa Rivas will review your x-rays, preparing for your examination.
Dr. Lisa Examination
Our experienced dentist, Dr. Lisa Rivas, will carefully examine your teeth and gums, taking into account your medical history, habits, daily life, and any concerns you may have. She will also review your medications and dental history to ensure a complete understanding of your oral health. Besides, she will conduct a detailed inspection of your mouth, examining each tooth, your tongue, cheeks, and gums. During this process, our dentist will also screen for oral cancer and gum disease, making sure to evaluate every detail.
Personalized Treatment
If our dentist finds that you need additional care, we will discuss our recommendations and provide you with an individualized plan. This plan will outline the specific steps of your care and may include a combination of different procedures and treatment plans. You can expect her to provide full information about optional topics such as cosmetic dentistry, sleep apnea, dental anxiety, and jaw pain.
During this process, feel free to ask questions at any time—we’re here to ensure you’re fully informed and comfortable every step of the way. Rest assured, we’ll never recommend a treatment that we don’t heartedly believe you need. Your trust and confidence mean everything to us.
